Conceptual design

Shanghai is a captivating city rich in history and multi-cultural influences. It is an evolving, modern

metropolis that attracts the world. This luxury hotel is an urban sanctuary – an escape from the

bustle and rigors of city life.

The Shanghainese house, Shikumen, serves as inspiration for referencing Shanghai’s distinct history

while looking forward to the future. Modern reinterpretations of traditional Chinese elements and

details are infused within a timeless and elegant interior architectural framework. Through

thoughtful yet deliberate articulation of materials, patterns, textures and color schemes, layered

with contemporary furniture and artworks, the interior concept exudes a fresh and timeless elegance

to once again attract global and local travelers.
